Q – If I want to do on-campus recruiting at Miami University, who do I contact?

A – You should contact Ms. Crissy Jessie in Miami's Office of Career Services, the main conduit through which students do their intern, co-op and permanent job searching. Her contact information is jessiecd(at)muohio.edu and 513-529-3840. She will respond to you with a how-to email for registering with Miami CAREERlink and posting positions, and copy the School of Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS) divisional contact, Dr. Brian Kirkmeyer. Your posted position will then be available for student viewing and resume submission, if appropriate.

Q – If I don't want to do on-campus recruiting but I want to post a job to students at Miami, what should I do?

A – You should still contact Ms. Jessie in Career Services and the position can still be posted on Miami CAREERlink. In this case, the posting should include specific instructions on how students should submit resumes to you, as well as other pertinent information about the position (majors, GPA requirements, etc.).

Q – What do I do if my company wants to hold an information session/"pre-night" in the Engineering Building at Miami?

A – Once you have arranged your interviewing visit with the Office of Career Services, you should contact Ms. Regina Hobbs at hobbsrr(at)muohio.edu and 513-529-0705. She will help arrange a date and time, any food or drinks and the room location for the session. That information will then be forwarded to the Office of Career Services to post on Miami CAREERlink, as well as sent to the department(s) whose students your company is interested in and the appropriate student organization(s) for those majors. The event is promoted generally within SEAS as well as in the specific departments and organizations, with a goal of optimizing the attendance and participation. If you have a specific flyer you wish to provide, we can post that in our buildings; otherwise we will develop one internally. Also, there is no room charge to hold events within the Engineering Building, though any food/beverages are the responsibility of the company.

Q – What if my company wants to hold an information session in a non-SEAS location like Shriver Center or Marcum Center?

A – In this case, you should contact the appropriate site (Shriver or Marcum) directly and arrange the event with them. This will have a room rental fee associated with it, plus any food/catering that is done. We will still promote the event within SEAS if provided with the information to do so, and also connect you with the appropriate SEAS departments and organizations as described above.
