Miami University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science seeks applicants for a tenure track position in mechanical and manufacturing engineering beginning fall 2010.  The School recently moved into a new state of the art facility.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering

Applicants for the position are expected to teach undergraduates, conduct labs, conduct research, perform service and advise students in the mechanical engineering program and related engineering programs.

A Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or related fields is expected; ABDs will be accepted, but the doctorate must be completed by the time of appointment; strong knowledge in mechanical engineering, including thermal/fluid science. 

Industrial experience, teaching experience, current program of research, and knowledge of advanced engineering areas are desired.  To be appointed to the rank of associate professor, successful candidate will have an established record of scholarship/research.
